Breakfast Journals, 2007

/ Installation of 6 split screen videos

/ Artist book

Breakfast Journal project sets out to explore the potential and the limitations of the camera in revealing identity through recording of the ordinary.

In order to do that, a cross - section of South London women have been recorded at the time of day when pretence and illusion are hardest to affect.
At a time before the outside world is confronted and people prepare themselves for the day in the security and usually ‘camera free zone’ of their own home.

The project was exhibited at RK Burt gallery, London and the Star Gallery (by invitation of the European Commission and the Slovenia Embassy in the UK).
